Bio: Born a Scorpio in '73 and raised in the small southeastern Kansas town of Pittsburg, I grew up drawing and coloring much to my father's dismay, while my brother and two sisters would enjoy playing various outdoor sports and games. Fortunately, for both myself and my dad, I learned to play and enjoy those activities by the time I started school, however I never lost my passion for art.

So, needless to say, I have been drawing and designing for as long as I can remember. I attribute what talent I may possess to both my mother and father. Both are artistic in their own ways, my mom in the fine art style of charcoals and my dad in the form of layout and design. I also cannot help but thank the 'Big Man Upstairs' for blessing me with my abilities. That is, if you see me as having any talent...after all, art is in the eye of the beholder.

Upon graduating from my small high school St. Mary's Colgan, I attended Pittsburg State University where I obtained a degree in commercial graphics.

Employment Background: Since graduating college I have worked as a graphic artist at a local screen printing shop, ran a sister company to my dad's engraving shop, done various freelance work, taught an Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator night class at the local university, and currently work as a graphic artist/illustrator for Draco Digital. I also worked for about 13 years at my father's partnership company, Mo-Kan Dragway, which was not graphic related, but was a wealth of experience in that it taught me how to deal with some seriously wild folks! So I feel with that experience I can and will satisfy a client's needs, whether it be a logo, design or particular graphic.

Likes & Inspiration: Tunes of all types: Zeppelin, Floyd, Sparklehorse, Greg Brown, Janis, Jimi, and Jim, most classic rock, anything dark or mellow, down tempo chick vocalists, Big 80s, Classic Country, Blues, & Folk. Other artists: Hieronymus Bosch, Salvador Dali, MC Escher, Max Ernst, and the countless unknown artists whose work I have ran across on the web, and although I rarely read poetry, intriguing individuals such as Edgar Allen Poe and Sylvia Plath. And last but not least, beer & a good thunderstorm. :)
